The Senior Government Contract Compliance Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining McKesson federal registrations in the governmentwide point of entry System for Award Management (SAM) and conducting government contract compliance monitoring activities for multiple business units.  This important role will report to the Senior Manager, Government Contracts Compliance, and significantly collaborate with Legal, Compliance & Ethics, and various contributors from McKesson business units.

The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience in US Federal Government contract compliance and/or federal government contracting process; as well as risk identification and mitigation skills. Additionally, the candidates experience should also detail discovering and adopting new methods or technology (ex. Smartsheet, DocuSign, or Tableau) to streamline and automate internal processes. Furthermore, this individual should possess a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or its supplements (ex. DFARS) and Federal Supply Schedule (FSS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and lead all government contract compliance monitoring activities with a goal of identifying any potential risk areas and conducting further “deep-dive” reviews with risk area owners.
  • Define, document, track and effectively communicate monitoring findings to corporate compliance, legal, and stakeholders; support any risk mitigation activities; and continue to monitor and report status/progress findings on specified cadences.
  • Manage and maintain annual SAM.gov registrations for multiple McKesson business units by staying abreast of registration requirements and adapting internal processes as needed to meet SAM.gov compliance requirements. (Smartsheet has been identified as a tool to use for this activity, so experience with that application is a plus).
  • Conduct regular reviews of existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for automation and adopting new technologies to streamline and optimize activities.
  • Represent the team as business lead in any new technology implementation activities.
  • Support team management of Trade Agreements Act compliance portal and reporting.
  • Create and/or update Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) and present them to the management for review.
  • Successfully prioritizes and manages ad-hoc projects and requests.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing issues that may impact project success.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and working relationships with various teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet company goals.

Critical Skills:

  • At least four years of relevant experience in US Federal Government contract management, administration, or compliance monitoring (FSS, FAR)
  • Intermediate or advanced skill level with MS Office Suite, Docusign, PDF Professional; SmartSheet experience preferred, but not required.
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills; specifically strong experience with gathering information from numerous sources with various iterations and pulling it together into one, cohesive source of truth.   
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize responsibilities accordingly, set expectations, and maintain stringent deadlines. Effectively establish and communicate adjusted timelines to stakeholders.
  • Self-starting, quick learner that embraces change and seeks opportunities for optimization.
  • Exhibits a professional, tactful, collaborative “team player” attitude with an ability to express an independent viewpoint with courage to ask probing questions to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent data analysis, consultative, and communication skills (oral and written)

Minimum Requirements:

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$78,800 - $131,300
