What We'll Bring:

We are looking for an energetic manager to lead a small, dynamic team of three DevOps engineers based in India located at our Bangalore office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and monitoring systems. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), along with proven leadership and project management skills.

What You'll Bring:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of 3 DevOps engineers.
    • Provide technical guidance and career development support to the team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cloud Infrastructure & Automation:
    • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS and Google Cloud).
    • Lead the automation of infrastructure management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
    • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of production systems.
  • Kubernetes & Containerization:
    • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for application deployment.
    • Ensure container orchestration is efficient and follows best practices.
  • Software Pipelines:
    • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployments.
    • Collaborate with development teams to integrate and improve DevOps processes.
  • Operations & Monitoring:
    • Implement and manage monitoring systems to ensure application performance and availability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, etc.).
    • Set up alerts and dashboards for proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Incident Management:
    • Lead incident response and post-incident reviews, ensuring root cause analysis and prevention.
    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Drive the adoption of IaC practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
    • Ensure configuration management, version control, and deployment are fully automated.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead DevOps initiatives from planning to execution, managing timelines and deliverables.
    • Work closely with engineering and product teams to align DevOps projects with business objectives.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation.
  • Strong incident handling and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
  • Experience with serverless technologies.
  • Ability to monitor and optimize cloud costs, including right-sizing and resource allocation.
  • Proficient with Git, Jenkins, unit tests, code reviews and other software development practices & tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies, especially with regards to how they integrate with DevOps in practice.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
