The Analyst will support the Joint Advertising, Market Research & Studies (JAMRS) contract by conducting data analysis and research to inform military recruitment strategies. Performs analyst tasks with minimal supervision as directed by team leader or other senior members of team. Assists with training of junior team members and contributes to production of reports, presentations and other deliverables. Collects, processes, and analyzes data to generate insights that drive effective marketing and advertising campaigns. Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data-driven decisions align with JAMRS objectives and contribute to the recruitment of qualified personnel across the United States Armed Forces.

Location: Remote and JAMRS Headquarters located in the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from various sources, including surveys, market research, and digital analytics.
  • Use statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python) to process and analyze data, identifying trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Support the development of data models, dashboards, and reports to present findings to stakeholders.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to understand target audiences, advertising effectiveness, and recruitment trends.
  • Analyze competitor strategies and market dynamics to provide actionable insights for JAMRS initiatives.
  • Collaborate with research teams to design and execute studies that address specific questions related to military recruitment.

Reporting and Presentation:

  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of executive summaries and briefings for JAMRS leadership.

Project Support:

  • Support various projects by providing analytical insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • Work with project managers and team members to ensure that data analysis aligns with project goals and timelines.
  • Participate in project meetings, contributing to the planning and execution of research and analysis tasks.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data and analysis by conducting thorough quality checks.
  • Validate data sources and methodologies to ensure the integrity of research findings.
  • Maintain documentation of data processes, methodologies, and analysis techniques.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, advertising, and research professionals, to support integrated project efforts.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and researchers to refine methodologies and improve analysis techniques.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, market research, or a related field, preferably in a marketing or advertising context.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python).
    • Experience with market segmentation tools, such as Claritas Segmentation.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
    • Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
    • Ability to create visual and written summaries of research results (e.g., in PowerPoint and Word) that can be understood by non-technical audiences.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and successfully complete a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with or within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Familiarity with JAMRS and its mission and objectives.
  • Knowledge of military recruitment processes and advertising strategies.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00
