Primary Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in discussions with business partners to extract and document the requirements and critical business logic necessary for the data and reporting needs of the business lines.
- Lead or participate in the delivery of aggregated data, reports, metrics, analytics and/or visualizations in support of business requirements, following established methodologies and processes.
- Conduct data analysis and investigations when issues with data are identified.
- Collaborate to define and implement information standards and data quality measures to ensure data integrity and quality across functions. Supports the compliance of information with internal policies and external regulations and standards.
- Proactively identify project and data issues and collaborate with the team to develop solutions
- Proactively identify opportunities and conduct advanced analytics to deliver business insights.
Technical Skill Requirements
- Strong data analysis skill is required - Advanced skills in SQL.
- Experience with database/ETL development is required.
- Familiar with one or more databases - AWS Redshift, Impala/Hive, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
- Familiar with one or more ETL tools - Informatica, Databricks etc.
- Experience with BI tools like Spotfire, Tableau, etc. is preferred.
- Experience with Alteryx development is preferred.
- Strong oral and written English is preferred
- Familiar with one or multiple programming skills is a plus – Python, Javascript, C#/.Net, Java, etc.
- Exposure to big data/Cloud technologies is a plus – like Spark, AWS etc.
- Exposure to advanced analytics, AI/Machine learning is a plus.
- Understand Pharm industry and GCP is a plus
- Strong PM/BA skills is a plus
Qualifications (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)
- At least 3 years working experience in IT or Pharm industry is required
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in information technology, mathematics, statistics or other relevant STEM program, or equivalent experience in scientific computing, computational sciences, bioinformatics or other relevant experience.
- Knowledge of project management, data analysis, business analysis, and information integration
- Familiarity with Clinical, Safety, Regulatory and Content Management systems and processes
- Demonstrated facility to understand the “big picture” in terms of potential implications, and translate to activities in support of the “big picture”
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated customer relationship skills and capabilities, and collaboration on teams.
- Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
