WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Sr. Director, Talent Management and will work closely with the North America Leadership Team, and HR Leadership Teams. There will be close partnership with the VP, Talent Management, and with partners from Talent Practices, Talent Acquisition, DE&I, Learning and Development, People Analytics, People Solutions and HRBPs from around the company.

The Sr. Principal, Talent Management, North America (NA) brings strong executive presence and the maturity to navigate relationships with GEO & HR Leadership Teams. You excel at fostering trust and alignment within top-tier leadership. Your business and financial acumen enable them to deliver talent plans tailored to meet business objectives, including experience in strategic workforce planning and execution.

  • 10+ years of experience across various disciplines within Talent Management or as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.

  • Sophisticated HRBP experience in Talent Strategy, Talent Planning, Executive Succession, Governance, Executive Development.

  • Executive presence, maturity and ability to navigate General Managers (GMs), Executive Leadership and HR Leadership relationships.

  • Strong ability to be self-directed, process-oriented, hands-on individual able to manage multiple priorities. Project management skills are required.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with HRBPs, People Solutions, Talent Acquisition, L&D, Total Rewards, DE&I and other HR COEs to drive an integrated talent agenda and drive a consistent talent experience.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Sr. Principal, Talent Management, North America (NA) plays a critical role in integrating and executing the global and geography talent priorities. You will also be accountable for assessing and monitoring the North America talent marketplace and for making recommendations to address any competitive issues Nike may have to attract and retain world-class talent. This role operates within an agile team, allowing for flexibility in line with the needs and Nike’s Talent cadence cycle. 

  • Strategically influence, comprehend, and devise plans to integrate and activate multiple Functional talent strategies and priorities to optimize the impact of the work and investments and to establish a consistent employee experience for the NA talent.

  • Utilize Nike's Enterprise programs, tools, and practices to facilitate the development of cross-functionally skilled talent at the G55 and below to feed the Global Talent Pipelines with volumes of highly capable talent to lead Nike today and in the future.

  • Acts as the local Talent expert in North America. You will advise and counsel HRBPs and business leaders to effectively interpret and use Nike’s talent practices, policies, methodologies, and global processes for all Talent COEs.

  • Establish, facilitate and execute the NA Leadership Team (NALT) talent cadence, to ensure the NALT prioritizes knowing, growing and winning with their talent in alignment with Enterprise and Global Function strategies.

  • Coach and advise Talent COE partners and other stakeholders on how to navigate the GEO talent environment.

  • Support Executive and leadership development activities for VPLT and enterprise top talent as required by global talent processes or as determined by global pipeline strategy.
