As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your diagnostic imaging specialty plays a pivotal role in providing top quality patient care.

The Opportunity:

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join Central Maine Medical Center's Nuclear Medicine Team!

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.

  • Performs and assists with nuclear medicine and PET/CT Exams.

  • Is Responsible for direct patient safety and following all procedural protocols.

  • Maintains all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements.

  • Maintains all Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO ) and American College of Radiology ( ACR ) accreditation requirements.

  • Is able to perform Regional Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Support at Multiple contract sites as a contract Technologist.

  • Assists in Clinical instruction for Radiology and Nursing students in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

  • Maintains patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly.


Education and Experience:
1. CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required
2. Licensed by the State of Maine as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
3. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification or Due within one month of expiration required.
4. Current DOT HAZMAT training certificate renewable every three years.
