Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager Downhole and Seabed testing. As the world's leading Geo-data company, Fugro depends on viable equipment assets which are being deployed in the most challenging circumstances. As a Product Manager within the marine geotechnical service line, you aim to continue to improve reliability, capability, and productivity of these assets. To do so, you play a crucial role bridging product development and project delivery.  

Marine geotechnical operations are spread across the globe and our ambition is to improve the portfolio of products we possess over time based on user feedback and market trends. Consequently, you are responsible for understanding the considerations and constraints of the various stakeholders and bringing this knowledge into improving our products effectively.  

You are the ideal candidate if you manage to define and prioritize improvement suggestions and innovative features against the most beneficial outcome for Fugro. Your main objective is to drive business value and contribute to long-term growth and success for the service line. To do this, you employ a customer-centric approach, engaging closely with clients and users to understand their needs and iteratively improve the products you are responsible for through continuous feedback.  

 

Your role 

  • You define and share the portfolio (technology) vision and manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation through development, launch, and optimization; 

  • You define requirements and goals for each relevant product;

  • You support and engage with innovation/ design teams, asset management and operating entities to prioritize the right capabilities and resources for the product to excel;  

  • For new and renewed products used on a global scale, you support the creation of user stories, make sure that assumptions and designs are validated, and steer prioritization of backlog among development team(s);  

  • You assist in defining innovation- and fabrication budget(s). This includes monitoring and reporting requirements set for internal and external developments; 

  • You understand clients’ needs and establish business cases in alignment with our group guidelines considering expected returns, competitors, and market outlook; 

  • You define and track key product performance metrics, stimulate detailed analysis on asset integrity and process requirements;

  • You promote an agile mindset and facilitate regular reviews allowing continuous improvement and adaptation based on client and user feedback or changing market dynamics.

Your track record 

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business, or a related field;

  • You have a track record in product management of integrated systems, preferably in a technology or asset management domain; 

  • You can define and deliver business value and control the value against cost over-time; 

  • You have excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills; 

  • You show strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; 

  • You have a good understanding of (marine) geotechnical investigations and business will be an advantage.
