The Coordinator, Fan Engagement role at Columbia Records focuses on managing fan accounts and creating engaging social media content for various artist profiles. This role is perfect for a pop music superfan who can connect directly with our artists' fans, building strong relationships and vibrant communities. The ideal candidate loves music and understands artist fandoms, with a knowledge of how the right content can move music. They will be adept at capturing and editing vertical video content for social media, understanding what resonates with audiences to drive engagement and growth. This role will report into the Culver City office.

What you'll do:

  • Fan Account Management. Assist in managing and maintaining multiple fan accounts for artists across the Columbia Records roster. Engage with fans, help build narratives, and foster a vibrant and active online community.
  • Content Creation and Social Media Management. Assist in the creation of engaging social media content that aligns with artist profiles and project timelines. Develop posts, graphics, and videos that resonate with fans and drive engagement.
  • Community Monitoring and Reporting. Monitor online fan conversations and communities, providing regular updates and insights to the senior team. Identify key moments to amplify and engage with fan feedback to inform strategy.
  • Fan Engagement Activities. Assist in developing and executing fan engagement activities, such as online interactions and meet-ups. Create fun and engaging experiences that build artist awareness and strengthen fan relationships.
  • Research and Insights. Conduct research on fan communities and help understand fan interests and behaviors. Identify top fans and fan accounts to enhance engagement efforts.
  • Shoot Social Content. Be prepared to shoot social content, primarily using a phone but also with other equipment, especially when artists are on site or when there are immediate social media opportunities to capture. Quickly edit and use this content to maximize engagement.

Who you are:

  • At least 1 year of relevant music and/or digital marketing experience.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and a deep understanding of internet culture.
  • Strong skills in capturing and editing vertical video content for social media using a phone.
  • Experience with photo and video editing tools such as Capcut.
  • Short Form Content Expertise: Deep understanding of the latest trends and best practices in short form vertical content, particularly for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and fan interaction.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Creative thinker with the ability to ideate fun fan interactions and meet-ups, and create engaging content.
  • Adaptability: Able to adapt to change readily, both in job responsibilities and the work environment, and flexible in adapting to re-prioritized tasks.
  • Teamwork: A team player who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to help the team.
  • Passion for Music and Pop Culture: Personable and actively engaged in music culture and its consumption across multiple channels, with a deep understanding of pop music stan culture and its niches both on and offline.

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
