Responsibilities:
  • Preparing complex tax returns
  • Preparing state and local tax returns, composite and withholding filings for clients

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm
  • Experience in U.S. Tax accounting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD
  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
  • Experience preparing returns
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Meet client, internal and statutory deadlines
  • Completing tax planning and research regarding specific tax issues
  • Understanding tax regulations and accounting pronouncements 
  • Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some travel may be required (varies based on location, line of business & client need)
