Accounts Payable Accountant Job Responsibilities

  • Verify Employee T&E Claims to ensure compliance with local tax regulation.
  • Verify Employee T&E Claims to ensure compliance with company policies and related procedures.
  • Process accounts payable invoices including T&E invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments to internal/external vendors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payable records in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile vendor (Internal & External) statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with vendors (Internal & External) to resolve any issues related to payments or invoices.
  • Manage the accounts payable email inbox and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Process electronic VAT invoices and ensure timely input VAT reclaim.
  • Coordinating monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Provide support for other accounting and finance functions as needed.
  • Other Ad-hoc assignment

Accounts Payable Accountant Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting/Finance with relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an account payable specialist, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Relevant working experience with Concur, FapiaoForce and SAP system is preferred.
