Job Description

Job Description Summary

We are hiring a Sales Director, Global Industries to manages the activities of professional direct sales or technical sales positions. You will attain sales objectives for your assigned branch/area, manage the direct sale of products or services in a geographic area, and potentially be responsible for a limited industry or product line on a geographic basis.

You will report to the Vice President, Global Industry - Auto, Tire, and Advanced Mobility, and have a hybrid schedule working out of Troy, Michigan.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the overall business growth with the assigned Customer(entity and its sites/plants).
  • Account Strategy/Planning development
  • Sell using Outcome-based selling methodology and resources.
  • Create Sales Opportunities (funnel) and drive owned opportunities to closure.
  • Support Account Managers and Sales Specialist to win pursuits aligned with the Global Account Strategy.
  • Responsible for selling and expanding footprint of GROWTH INITIATIVES portfolio.
  • Leverage Partners and Ecosystem to sell CORE portfolio and ensure share of wallet growth.
  • Engage and orchestrate multifunctional team (Domain Experts, BU, Sales Specialists) in an effective manner to support opportunities pursuits.
  • Count with the support of GRM & BU proposal teams for Quotes, proposaldevelopment as well as discounts request.
  • Sales Discipline, Enablement & General Activities
  • Assertive opportunities forecast
  • Capture all relevant customer information, interactions in DCRM (MicrosoftDynamics) following Sales Process guidelines
  • Enablement (70/20/10 - Enablement Programs)

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large, strategic, and/or global accounts while achieving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce).
  • Ability to travel as required.
