The Data & Analytics Specialist plays a pivotal role in harnessing data for informed decision making and driving innovation across the organization by putting in data strategy and execution of this strategy.

In this role you will

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership:       
    • Define and execute a data analytics strategy that supports corporate objectives and innovation.
    • Understand in detail GSK Global Data Framework, including various semantic layers and all relevant data/analytics definitions in the commercial and medical space and share global and regional KPIs definitions with local business teams as needed.
  • Project Management:
    • Prioritize and manage analytics project portfolio, ensuring timely completion and measurable business impact
    • Ensuring global data product portfolio is well embedded to the local market and ensuring the uptake of this portfolio by providing/ organizing the required training with global data product teams , escalating any issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Cross-Functional Teamwork:
    • Work closely with business teams to understand their data needs and ensure that the data analytics initiatives align with business priorities.
    • Act as a liaison between the Local/ Regional/ Global Tech, Local BI team, other business units and vendors to ensure cohesive and integrated efforts for data and analytics initiatives
  • Innovation and Research:
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, new analytics methodologies, and emerging technologies that can provide a competitive edge.
    • Encourage innovation within the team to explore new data sources, tools, and analytical techniques.
    • Continuously optimize data solutions for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability while considering the impact on business operations.
  • Data Governance and Management:
    • Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity, quality, legal and compliance.
    • Oversee the management of data assets, including data warehousing, data lakes, and databases.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • A strong background in data engineering, data science, statistics, computer engineering or applied mathematics.
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Conceptual understanding for advanced analytics concepts that includes statistical modelling and algorithms.
  • Familiarity of visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

  • Understanding on Gen AI stack
  • Experience in data management, including knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, data governance, data security and cloud-based storage solutions
