The Global People Analytics & Experience Center of Excellence (GPA&E COE) team at Fresenius Medical Care provides workforce insights and solutions that support the achievement of business imperatives, helps identify solutions to key challenges, and uncovers opportunities to improve the people experience and success of Fresenius Medical Care. As a member of the team, the Sr Data Governance Analyst will serve as a subject-matter expert that will consult closely with the business to develop and maintain the global Human Resources (HR) data governance framework that will support the delivery of solutions to enable key business decisions.
Under guidance of the Manager, HR Data Governance, the incumbent will be responsible for executing global data governance and data quality strategies for HR data at Fresenius Medical Care. The individual will support the day-to-day operations and oversight of HR data quality which includes accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Additionally, the individual will design, develop, implement, and maintain data governance/data quality related solutions (e.g., HR data dictionary in Collibra).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute GPA&E COE strategy specifically related to global data governance and data quality strategies for HR data
Use subject matter expertise to help further define the governance framework for global, regional, and local HR data
Implementation and day-to-day management of the data dictionary and business glossary for global HR; provide guidance to data consumers and SMEs to define clear and consistent data definitions, data lineage, and metadata; mentor staff to leverage data value and quality across the enterprise
Partner with team in resolution of data issues identified throughout the organization and determine scope of issues; communicate solutions to data consumers
Promote a solid understanding of Fresenius Medical Care’s data ecosystem and how to best govern data assets based on policies and standards set by the HR Data Governance Program
Maintain awareness of current trends and best practices related to data governance and data quality and continuously improve end-to-end processes
Prioritize the fulfillment of all assigned requests and partner with other teams as needed for fulfillment; ensure the status of all requests and fulfillment of approved requests is tracked in an intuitive and transparent manner (e.g., within Jira or Dovetail)
Ensure all data privacy and information security requirements are considered in the evaluation of all requests; determine when requests will need to be escalated for approval and facilitate the approval process.
Develop training materials/quick-start guides related to data governance/data quality topics and conduct training sessions for various groups (e.g., HRBPs, COEs, business leaders)
Support special projects as defined by business needs (e.g., engagement survey data review)

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5 – 8 years related experience
4+ years exposure to various HR & non-HR related departments data (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Labor Relations, Finance, etc.)
2+ years of SQL and relational database experience
Proficiency in metadata and data quality tools like Atlan, Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Ataccama, Talend, etc.
Experience gathering and evaluating business requirements to build and implement enterprise level data warehouse solutions
In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms, business intelligence tools, data warehousing, and data visualization. Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, data quality, and metadata management. Strong desire to continue learning about new data governance/data quality tools
In-depth understanding of data privacy and security regulations. High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of data
Strong business communication, consulting, and training skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
Must be highly organized to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
