NOTE:

1. This role is 5 days onsite supporting our Banking client in Fairfield, CA.

2. This role is night shift from 9pm - 5:30am (PST) onsite.

About the role:
As a Computer Operator, you’ll perform support activities in computer operations onsite at our Banking Client location in Fairfield, CA.

About the team:

FIS’ Systematics Account Team supporting our client works onsite with our client providing technology support services for key areas supporting their business objectives. Our team is comprised of both tenured FIS senior level subject matter experts and experts that are relatively new to the FIS family. Our team works closely with each other and with our client partners without the classic vendor/client barriers. We are one team working towards successfully achieving common business goals.

What you will be doing?

In this role, you will perform support activities in computer operations by working in a mixed mainframe and server environment serving a mid-tier community banking client.

  • Reviews and processes mainframe console jobs from IBM compatible scheduler.

  • Monitors and controls a computer console to process and complete jobs.

  • Investigates error conditions in computer processing, equipment malfunction and/or mainframe job performance in order to determine and/or apply the required corrective procedure or action.

  • Maintains the physical inventory of computer operations supplies in a designated storage area and keeps the various operations areas stocked with the supplies necessary for daily production.

  • Sets up, prepares, operates and performs preventive maintenance tasks on IBM Compatible Line Matrix Printer. 

  • Oral and Written communication interaction with all levels of bank operations processing and senior operations management.

 

What you will need:

  • Job is primarily 9pm to 5:30am (Pacific Daylight Time)

  • Office location is in Fairfield, CA

  • Must be able to work swing shift hours when needed with limited managerial oversight.

  • Candidate must be willing and able to work in a team environment.

  • Thorough shift to shift handoff and covering shift schedules during teammate absences is crucial to the success of the candidate.

  • Candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and Outlook.

Added Bonus if you have:

  • Mainframe SDSF Panel is a plus

  • SFTP Client Software is a plus

  • Experience in financial background

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $24.92 - $40.63 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
