Team/Role Overview

The Global Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce.

The team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs team across the world.
 

What you’ll do

  • Support the Public Affairs & Government Affairs Director who leads the ESPA (Enterprise Services & Public Affairs) function in the Nordic countries and is responsible for responsible for brand marketing, internal communications, media relations, external engagement, community affairs and Government Affairs for Citi
  • Work with the Public Affairs & Government Affairs Officer Nordics to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand in the market through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues
  • Internal Communications and Engagement: Developing and executing internal engagement plans and initiatives; delivering regular communications to all employees; Planning and managing internal communications channels and content calendars; Liaising with colleagues to ensure that internal channels are accurate; Planning and managing employee engagement events; Developing content for events
  • External Communications: support in executing on external Nordic event plan and initiatives; Maintaining an event and social media content calendar; Work with the Global Social Media team to ensure all local social content is aligned with global content; Develop background briefing documents and speaking notes for senior executives; Assist with media relations opportunities; Help develop and amplify brand activities in the external market
  • Community Affairs: Planning and managing a very active community affairs program with a number of external community affairs partners; Organise a regular schedule of events on site for community partners, including a number of training and mentoring initiatives
  • Government Affairs: Support research and background for briefings and stakeholder meetings
  • Risk and Compliance: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,

What we’ll need from you

  • Communications, Public Relations or experience preferred, either in-house or agency
  • Strong Event Management skills; Excellent project management skills
  • Experience in content creation for internal and external purposes; Strong editing, writing and grammar skills
  • Excellent digital communications / Microsoft 365 / PowerPoint skills and ability to create engaging presentations
  • Social media content development experience and working knowledge of major social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
  • Language skills: Fluency in English and Swedish is required, any additional Nordic language skills are a plus; Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creativity and initiative; Strong relationship management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business management, communications, marketing or another related field
