The Assistant Director-Scholarships plays a pivotal role in the College’s Financial Aid and Scholarship Management Office. Reporting to the AVP of FA and Scholarship Mgmt, the position leads the office in respect to developing policies and procedures for administering all internal and external scholarship processes. The position collaborates with the Colleges stakeholders to provide problem-solving and strategic insight and recommendations ensuring optimizing scholarship options for students. This position will be instrumental in establishing short-term and long-term goals which will lead to a scholarship application process. The person in this position will serve as the liaison for students, Institutional Advancement, Admissions, Financial Aid, and departments across campus regarding questions and concerns about scholarships and status of awards.

Daily Operations

  • Scholarship Management, Reporting and Oversight
  • Debt Management, Counsel and processing student loan files
  • Collaborate and interact with constituents and other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrated facility with Microsoft Word, Office Suite, Excel and other spreadsheet software;
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize software and hardware, PC, mainframe and applications; 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred, and at least three years of related experience (admissions, scholarships, financial aid).
  • Experience working with database software such as Banner, BlackBoard, or other similar software.
  • Work history of proficiency in written and oral communication.
