Summary

In 2022 we opened a new office in Manchester and due to its rapid growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to support the team on site.  In this critical role you will be enabling business and people solutions through effective HR programs, processes and policies.

The role is part of a collaborative and fun Europe HR team based in London.  You’ll enjoy partnering closely with the HRBP team and the broader Europe HR team, to support on business priorities and deliverables, ensuring necessary HR operational and process requirements are in place and managed.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Advise leaders and crew on Human Resources policies and procedures and be the day-to-day contact for all operational and administrative HR requests.
  • Understand and proactively addresses the HR needs of aligned business areas.
  • Provides consultative coaching and support to crew and leaders.
  • Recommends solutions to management on business strategy and its effects on crew.
  • Work closely with local leadership to help drive culture and engagement.
  • Support the broader HRBP team in delivering the people agenda for their business groups, by working with them to design solutions and recommendations that will enhance the crew experience, meet business needs, and contribute towards the business strategy
  • Manage employee queries and administration requirements throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Advocate for the HR agenda with business leaders. Align the business with HR policies and programmes, promoting the Vanguard vision and values at all times.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and engagement topics. Partner with the HRBP team to implement the best outcomes for the assigned business area and Vanguard at large.

About the ideal candidate

  • Related HR work experience.  Experience working as a satellite HR hub in a global Company would be beneficial
  • A passion for helping employees and leaders develop their full potential
  • Experience in change management and supporting a site is growth phase
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Understanding of a regulated environment useful.
