Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this role you will be part of Amgen's newest and most sophisticated final product assembly, labeling and packaging plant. The Final Product facility features the best in-class device assembly and packaging technologies with embedded industry 4.0 capabilities.

As an Associate Digital Manufacturing, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports various smart manufacturing technologies and computerized systems improvement initiatives within manufacturing to support the end user on the shop floor as well as support the business with data analytics and reporting. You will support critical processes, provide technical expertise, and be involved in the design, implementation, validation and lifecycle management of multiple systems and digital technologies. This role is essential for Amgen Ohio’s success and key in supporting operations towards a more digital future.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Design, create, and deploy training content using e.g. Augmented Reality (AR) that supports manufacturing operations, which includes interactive guides, training modules, and real-time troubleshooting tools to enhance skills and reduce on-boarding time for end user(s).
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, Digital Technology Innovation (DTI) specialists, training and development, and quality assurance, to continuously find opportunities to improve manufacturing processes through AR technology and aligns with company goals.
  • Manage the document lifecycle for digital technologies, ensuring accuracy, currency, and effectiveness to meet operational and compliance requirements.
  • Present findings, updates, and project progress to management and key collaborator’s on the various computerized systems.
  • Monitor and support the business with the implementation of data analytics, reporting and create visuals to provide insight in business critical KPIs and suggest improvements (e.g. Smartsheet, Tableau, Databricks, KPI tools, OEE, Spotfire).
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the use of digital technologies.
  • Support the manufacturing team during troubleshooting for key computerized systems and assist during problem solving.

What we expect of you

We are looking for a collaborative partner with a passion for digital manufacturing and data analytics, who can bring the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma and 4 years of Manufacturing, Business Analysis, digital content creation or Computer Science experience. Requirement 2

Or

Associate’s degree and 2 Manufacturing, Business Analysis, digital content creation or Computer Science experience.

Or

Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience in GMP, Medical Device, or Biotech Manufacturing regulated environment.
  • Affinity with digital technologies (AR/VR Technologies, biometric user authentication, Serialization) or manufacturing processes and a passion for innovation.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose system malfunction and troubleshoot unexpected system behaviors.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and business environment.
  • Experience with data analytics, process performance and reporting tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Tableau, Databricks, KPI tools, OEE, Spotfire).
  • Ability to use computer systems to support the generation of training content, troubleshoot key manufacturing business systems MES and SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Work independently and cross functionally to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement collective corrective actions.
  • Pro-active, result oriented, and ability to prioritize work to meet timelines.
  • Good documentation practices and skills including technical writing.
  • Able to communicate on different levels within the organization.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
