WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sr. Associate Business Analyst will join Clinical Study Planning, Design Optimization & Startup (CSPDS) Product team within the Global Development Operations – Digital, Technology & Innovation (GDO-DTI) organization. The position is in our Lisbon office in Portugal. Come join our team and be a part of something new that we can be proud of!
As a member of this team, you will collaborate with Technical Product Owner, architects, engineers and business stakeholders in Global Development Operations teams to define and manage delivery of new features and functions within Amgen’s technology ecosystem to enable business growth, customer engagement strategies and ensure access to our products.
Responsibilities Include:
Drive an attitude of excellence in running robust, reliable, and secure software products following Amgen’s software development, operating procedures and change management requirements
Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs, shape the vision and concept, and translate needs into product requirements
Partnering with Scrum master, product team members to enable product delivery, working across product teams to identify inter-dependencies etc.
Articulate the requirements with help of visuals - flow diagrams etc. where it makes sense.
Monitor, evaluate, and communicate product progress at each stage of the development lifecycle, including key decisions and issue escalation
Provide analysis that allows for the successful translation of business capabilities to solution design
Work directly with architects and product owners to understand and prioritize application focus and rollout
Maintain SDLC documentation using Agile tools such as JIRA

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree of Information Systems
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems
OR
Associate’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in the following areas: Business Analysis, defining a use case, Model requirements, validate solutions, Project and Product management and creating and maintaining backlog of user stories
Experience with Agile/Iterative Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and standard change management practices
Experience with Protocol design, authoring and Digitized protocol is a plus
Hands on experience within Salesforce, SaaS and cloud technologies, or data architectures preferred.
Hands on experience writing SQL using any RDBMS (Redshift, Postgres, MySQL, Teradata, Oracle, etc.)
Possesses strong learning agility and technical know-how - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans for team execution
Desire to work with a truly dynamic and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a natural ability to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences
Excellent critical and analytical thinking with solid attention to detail
