The role:

SoFi is looking for a Licensing Analyst with demonstrated state regulatory licensing experience for a financial institution that offers mortgage, unsecured lending, insurance, and brokered products. The purpose of this role is to uphold SoFi’s licensing and other state regulatory obligations through analysis of business activities and state laws. Responsibilities include tracking and processing existing license maintenance requirements, updating officers as needed, and application activities when new licenses are needed, in addition to mortgage loan officer renewals and management of any necessary continuing education requirements. Communication with state agencies and key internal stakeholders related to the licenses. 

This individual will be project managing and partnering with company stakeholders across multiple teams to ensure that SoFi is compliant with applicable state licensing requirements

What you’ll do: 

SoFi is looking for a compliance professional with 5+ years of financial services licensing management experience to support the development and ongoing maintenance of SoFi’s Compliance License Management Program. This high-impact role will be responsible for coordinating license filings for federal mortgage loan originators, mortgage licenses, installment lending license, collection agency, and student loan servicing licenses. In addition, this role will be responsible for periodic regulatory reporting and will assist in developing and maintaining an efficient, data-driven process that will become the Compliance License Management Program.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years direct experience in lending and mortgage licensing
  • BA/BS degree or paralegal experience
  • Familiarity with lending products and financial services industry best practices
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and explaining legal and regulatory obligations across multiple disciplines and levels
  • Familiarity with the NMLS system
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to operate with discretion on sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment
  • Proficient in use of Google Suite and Microsoft tools (e.g., Sheets, Docs, etc.)
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
