As a Senior Anaplan Model Builder on the Anaplan Center of Excellence team, you will play an integral role in the global forecasting, planning, and reporting process. They will be a key member on the Global Finance team based in our Chicago office, with responsibility for Anaplan financial model building, administration, and maintenance. This role partners closely with teams across the finance organization, including FP&A, Commercial Finance, Marketing Finance, & Accounting. They will lead projects that improve process inefficiencies, automate by leveraging technology, and create solutions that deliver value back to the organization. Additionally, this role will provide ad-hoc analysis as needed for senior financial leadership. We are seeking strong analytical skills, an interest in financial data, systems, and processes, along with a desire for consistent personal development. Willingness to dive in head first while improving key technical skills and learning new systems is a requirement.

You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Become a knowledge and technical expert within Anaplan through completion of our best in class internal Anaplan enablement program

  • Become a knowledge and technical expert in Anaplans data sources; operational data, financial data, workday, salesforce etc.

  • Work with Global FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales and Financial Systems teams to coordinate the overall architecture, design, development and maintenance of Anaplan applications

  • Business partnering: you'll work hand-in-hand with teams across different departments to build scalable models for a variety use cases

  • Become a subject matter expert on existing Anaplan ecosystem and all model intricacies

  • System builder: you’ll develop performance dashboards to surface insights

  • Perform data management tasks, pull data from multiple sources, and create integrations to bring the data automatically into Anaplan leveraging ETL tools like Snaplogic

  • Collaborate with other Anaplan CoE team members to comply with best build practices

  • Ad-hoc deep dives on pressing business issues and using Anaplan model builder expertise for solutions

  • Expand model ownership and expertise into new use cases over time 

  • Develop and implement automation routines and data integrations to streamline stakeholder processes

Job and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 2 years experience in Finance/Accounting roles or as in systems administration

  • Ability to learn new systems/processes and quickly ramp up to support those

  • You love collaborating and nurturing partnerships with senior leaders and teams

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • High comfort level with Microsoft Excel

  • Systems savvy with a strong desire to transform and simplify processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as an Anaplan model builder

  • Anaplan Model Builder Certification (L1, L2, and Anaplan way complete)

  • You have SQL experience

  • You have experience with Topline Revenue Forecast modeling

  • System implementation or project management experience

  • Hands on experience with operating in sprint cycles using Agile/Scrum framework

  • Full Life Cycle Implementations experience

  • Extract Transform Load (ETL) tool experience

  • Experience with NetSuite
