Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role:

- You will guide the product roadmap, customer engagement, and success criteria for 6 products in the SRE Enterprise Health team critical to supporting the SRE Command Center, Merchant Engineering Center, and by extension our external PayPal customers.

You will help inform and direct out reach for the Merchant Reliability Engineering Team, ensuring SRE products and observability can efficiently support the reliability expectations of our Merchants.

The enterprise health team is an essential part of PayPal SRE combing both software engineering and operations to build products that measure the experience of our customers and give us the tools we need to quickly triage their issues and remediate.

  • Define the strategy and prioritization needed for our engineering teams to rapidly expand our measurement and triage capabilities and better understand the experiences of our customers and merchants.
  • Bring visibility to the impact of our products and capabilities by defining clear product goals and criteria for success, ensuring new capabilities are aligned with the needs of both our internal and external stakeholders.

Your day to day:

  • Defining and updating the product strategy and roadmap for all EHE products.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in Product Engineering to bring knowledge of the products back into the tools and capabilities we define.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in our customer service organizations to identify weaknesses in our processes that can be automated and improved to strengthen the speed and accuracy of incident triage.
  • Developing materials to share our product story, goals and outcomes

What you need to bring:

  • Proven track record as a product manager over multiple years, driving a product with a diverse customer base against a documented roadmap with clear deliverables.
  • Vision and passion for the observability space
  • Customer centric, collaborative approach
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills to advocate for our products
  • Ability to drive ambiguity to clarity
  • Strong knowledge of observability systems like DataDog, Splunk, and the capabilities of each.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$107300 to $259600
