Position summary:  
This person is responsible for maintenance of production equipment and keeping critical parts on hand by working with Supply Room personnel.  
Educational requirements:  
High school diploma or GED required
Skills and experience:  

- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance helpful  

- Must possess a valid driver s license and a clean driving history report  

- Ability to meet license requirements for Powered Industrial Trucks (Lift trucks, JLG's, Scissor Lift's)  

Essential duties:  
  • Equipment maintenance  
  • Maintain parts inventory  
  • Constant inspection of equipment for any repairs that may be needed  
  • Good communication with production personnel  
  • Be available at all startups  
  • Advise Supervisor and line operator of any problems or potential equipment failures  
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems  
  • Train others of lesser skill level  
  • Estimate, procure parts, modify and install mechanical equipment  
  • Understand and comply with ISO programs  
  • Drive company truck to various Interface locations as well as to supply companies  
  • Comply with safety rules and environmental regulations  
  • Be aware of departmental Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and LOTO procedures  
  • Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.  
  • Maintain housekeeping  
  • Perform other duties as assigned  
  • While performing any overhead work or task that creates metal shavings/foreign debris you must take all necessary precautions to prevent material from getting in the carpet  
Physical demands:  
Working 10 hour shifts  
Lifting up to 50 lbs.  
Extensive walking  
Daily climbing of ladders and stairs  
Work environment:  
Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
