Process Engineer, Hydraulics Product Support

The Product Support Process Engineer is a fast paced, hands-on position whose primary responsibility is developing and implementing new shop capabilities and maintaining the process throughout the life of the program.

Your Challenge

  • Creates and maintains work instructions and process sheets.

  • Designs, procures, validates and maintains tooling and test equipment.

  • Maintains tooling equivalency, job aids and other documentation.

  • develops special repair processes outside the scope of published documentation.

  • Performs root cause and corrective action investigations for customer product.

  • Interacts with the customer’s or manufacturer’s engineering staff to develop real-time solutions to issues as they arise.

  • Implements LEAN/6S strategies to continually improve the process.

  • Performs other engineering tasks as assigned.

What You Bring

  • High degree of mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with hydraulic systems, components, and test equipment.

  • 3+ years in aviation industry preferred.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics, Boeing, Airbus and/or Military specifications and other documentation.

  • Proficient in use of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.

  • Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical tooling and test equipment.

  • Experience managing small to mid-size projects.

  • Experience in technical report writing is a plus.

  • Experience in Labview software programming is a plus.

  • Experience in 3D modeling (Siemens NX or Solidworks preferred).

  • Experience in LEAN/6s manufacturing concepts.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (WORD, Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Outlook).
