What you will do:

As the Senior Manager Commercial Operations, you will lead a team responsible for managing demand forecasts, setting safety stock targets, and tracking inventory metrics such as excess, obsolete, and expiring products. You will partner with BU leadership and Salesforce on strategic initiatives and act as a key liaison to ensure timely resolution of BU needs. Your role will also involve collaborating with global teams to standardize planning processes and presenting performance metrics to Executive Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and develop a team focused on demand forecasting, safety stock management, and inventory performance. Attract and engage top talent while fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Business Unit (BU) leadership and Salesforce on key operational initiatives. Ensure that BU needs are effectively communicated and addressed within the Commercial Ops organization.

  • Global Coordination: Collaborate with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Supply/Demand Planning Managers worldwide to drive standardized planning processes and ensure accurate communication of demand plans and inventory targets.

  • Process Improvement and Reporting: Oversee the development and enhancement of demand planning and inventory management procedures. Ensure comprehensive reporting and communication of demand plans, inventory targets, and performance metrics to Global Ops and Division management.

  • Product Lifecycle and Strategy: Work with Marketing and Supply Planning teams to define and execute product launch strategies and manage product life cycles to align with customer demand and inventory levels.

  • Performance Management: Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify and address gaps between sales, demand, and supply chain capacity. Present actionable recommendations and performance metrics to Executive Management.

  • Planning and Execution: Achieve alignment on demand plan changes and safety stock strategies through regular reviews and meetings. Drive improvements in planning processes and corporate standards.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, or equivalent

  • 10+ years of business experience in Operations, IBP, Supply Chain management, Financial Planning, or related fields

Preferred Skills : 

  • MBA or an advanced degree

  • Certification: APICS, Lean Manufacturing Training, Process Excellence/Six Sigma tools

  • 4+ years of people management experience with ability to build talented teams and drive engagement

  • 5+ years’ experience with demand or inventory planning and management, leading process improvements, and ERP systems

  • Knowledge and demonstrated leadership in safety stock settings, inventory optimization, supply/demand planning, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues

  • Work experience in medical device industry
