145 REPAIR STATION MANAGER - HAWTHORNE, CA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 145 Repair Station Manager to oversee and manage our Part 145 repair station operations. The 145 Repair Station Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aircraft control systems and aviation safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to FAA Part 145 regulations, EASA Part 145 regulations, and any other applicable local aviation authority requirements.
  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of repair station operations, including maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities, inventory management, and facilities maintenance.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability in all maintenance activities.
  • Safety Management: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with industry best practices and safety guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of skilled technicians, inspectors, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring prompt and effective communication and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operation while maintaining service quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Management or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and repair, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership or management role within a Part 145 repair station.
  • Thorough understanding of FAA and EASA Part 145 regulations and other relevant aviation regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a
