About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Health Information Services Manager (HIS) to join our Health Information Services Team across St Vincent’s Private Hospitals in Brisbane and Northside.

Directly reporting to the National Manager HIS and your role will lead the Department with an emphasis on developing systems, staff and services that are innovative, resource efficient and that meet the changing needs of a healthcare environment. You will be part of a dynamic leadership team that actively drives efficiency reviews and develops programs to support the organisation’s strategic intent and operational performance. This position provides excellent scope for personal and professional development with exposure to projects, facilities and divisions across SVHA.

Things that work for us:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Manager or equivalent and post graduate qualifications preferred but not essential

  • Truly creative leader with the ability to drive a positive work culture and understand the needs and impact of the role, their team and the wider organisation

  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical coding, the ability to oversee the coding process and staff and contribute significantly to the strategic aim of “Right First Time” and a skilled and educated workforce

  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office and detailed understanding of common industry software and a keen aptitude to learn

  • Pro-active analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Proven experience contributing to processes to improve revenue cycles in the Private Health Information Services
