We are looking for a Director Operations Business to join our team onsite in Chicago, IL.

As the Director Operations Business, reporting to the Sr Director Operations Project Management, you will provide operations support and project management for key business growth, brand maintenance and productivity improvement initiatives. As the principal Supply Chain resource for designated business teams, you will ensure the efficient use of resources and communicate priorities throughout the Supply Chain functions. You will contribute to the achievement of net sales, PBT, and Supply Chain cost/KPI targets for designated product groups.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Project management and Operations lead on new product/offering commercialization projects for assigned product groups. Coordinate and support cost build-up, CIR development, material readiness, and scale-up efforts.

  • Project Management and Operations lead for cost improvement efforts for assigned product groups, ensuring annual target achievement and steering team effectiveness. Participate/provide support to plant and other Supply Chain function continuous improvement efforts.

  • Direct business simplification initiatives for designated product groups, such as active SKU rationalization, standardization of packaging, and consolidation of components/specifications. Collaborate with the business team to evaluate product offerings and ensure the efficient utilization of Supply Chain resources.

  • Provide project management support to assigned strategic enabler initiatives – i.e. material supply, asset optimization and North American sourcing projects.

  • Ensure effective resource alignment and business initiative prioritization – facilitating monthly business enabler meetings for assigned product groups.

  • Provide business planning support (Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, Capital Planning) to assigned business teams and plant locations.

  • Monitor Supply Chain KPIs for assigned product groups, providing improvement plan support to plants/key Supply Chain functions.

  • Provide business process adoption role for assigned brands, plants- to include portfolio project health, stage gate reviews, Accolade System adherence and other related project management tools.

  • Support quality improvement strategies for assigned product groups.

  • Benchmark key competitive set and food industry for new technology and productivity strategies. Update leadership on emerging opportunities/risks.

Position Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field.

  • 7+ years' experience in manufacturing, engineering and/or other Supply Chain functions required.

  • Understanding of Supply Chain, Purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, R&D and other disciplines.

  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing unit operations, new product commercialization and start-up procedures.

  • Project management skills including managing multiple projects.

  • Outstanding skills in influence management, capable of overseeing cross-functional resources without direct lines of reporting.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all with all tiers of the organization.

  • Continuous improvement mindset.

  • Experience with Supply Chain cost structure, interpreting cost build-up, trends and ConAgra Foods financial statements.

  • Leadership experience collaborating with others and resolving conflict.

  • Exposure to Supply Chain IT transaction systems and information flow.
