This is a fantastic opportunity to become a core member of the Treasury team in one of the top global financial players in the world of alternative asset management and private equity. The analyst will work closely with senior members of the team and contribute to the vital daily FX and liquidity function. As a critical team within the company, the role will encourage the candidate to grow, gaining valuable insight and experience in the private markets. The role requires a high attention to detail, a passion for further development with the drive to follow projects through to the highest standard. Applicants will have 1-2 years of experience in a market-related function.

Summary of our opportunity

You will form part of ICG’s Treasury department which is critical in managing the firm’s cash, FX & interest rate exposures, borrowing and fund financing. The team manages close to $100 billion of FX volumes a year and is crucial in sourcing banking finance that aids the company’s investment strategies. The team’s highly profiled nature creates the exposure and opportunity to interact with the entire organisation and its key stakeholders.

Within the analyst role, your core focus will be supporting and growing within the FX & IR and cash functions and managing a panel of 30 banking relationships.  You must have strong interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and keen to work alongside like-minded individuals as part of a collaborative and committed team. You will require strong communication skills (both written and verbal), benefit from robust analytical skills and demonstrate intellectual curiosity for financial markets.

Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist dealers in preparation and execution of FX and interest rate instruments
  • Assist in building and managing relationships with a large panel of external banks and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the in-house advisory function on hedging strategies
  • Work towards becoming a key point of contact for treasury requirements with internal stakeholders
  • Daily use of TMS and other treasury systems for the operational needs of the department
  • Support in ensuring Treasury meets its financial regulatory obligation
  • Production of treasury reports and liquidity forecasting
  • Daily BAU workstreams, onboarding of banks and other ad-hoc admin duties.
  • Identify issues and reach out to relevant stakeholders to obtain solutions
  • Continue your professional development, work towards becoming a full dealer

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of: 

Essential

  • 1-2 years of experience in a markets-related function.
  • Front office / dealing exposure in an organisation with international operations
  • Understanding of FX and Interest Rate derivatives, markets and associated regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of current market themes and commercial impacts
  • Exposure to the use of multibank / single bank execution platforms, and Treasury Management Systems

Desirable

  • Strong Excel skills and use of Bloomberg/Reuters an advantage
