Role Description 

At Orion we are responsible for delivering value to our clients by leveraging relationships with our media partners across all media types. Our unique offering provides our clients with effective media saving solutions for their business needs. The Trading Manager is a key role working to support the Director of UK Trading, within this role you will focus on building relationships with media partners, monitoring the deals across all media types, and understanding client targets and how this relates to our supply. You will be working within a fast-paced environment that requires you to be confident, self-reliant, innovative, and collaborative.

Your key internal relationships with the Director of UK Trading, Media Managers and Associates, Operations, AOR’s, Rapport, Kinesso, Finance and Legal. Your key external relationships are with all media owners, particularly at an Account Manager level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with media owners at junior to mid-level with capability to handle senior people as and when required.
  • Monitoring and tracking of the deals, collaborating with the wider day to day team.
  • Regular meetings with the day to day team to feedback opportunities to Director of UK Trading.
  • Understanding client targets in relation to our media banks.
  • Supporting the Director of UK Trading in the deal process from start to finish e.g. deal renewals.
  • Working closely with the legal team to implement media partner contracts.
  • Working closely with our performance agency, Kinesso in regards to digital deals.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You have great communication and relationship-building skills.
  • You have a good level of numeracy, time management and attention to detail.
  • You have a good understanding of the UK media market and capability & willingness to develop knowledge further to navigate market accordingly.
  • You are a supportive team player yet confident to work autonomously.
  • You have a strong understanding of the digital media space.
  • You have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft programmes (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel etc.).
  • You have previous experience at media owner, specialist, or agency with trading or buying experience.
