POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Advisor will lead solution development and portfolio management initiatives in support of the Team Director and other Advisory Services ("AS") Directors.
This person will support the solution managers in the specific context of content development, tools and methodology, advisory services as well as new opportunities for content repurposing to generate broader opportunities for SMEs.
They will actively collaborate with multiple cross-functional internal partners (business development, delivery, marketing, training, etc.) and solicit their participation and support to ensure effective and efficient project execution for internal initiatives and solution improvements.
The Senior Advisor may also be called upon to use external resources to generate content.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Support "solution leads" in content development projects by sharing best practices with project teams to ensure project success.
Use your project management skills to: plan and manage activities related to the creation of projects and this until the deployment and monitoring of solutions.
Plan by:
Guiding and advising practice directors and solution leaders in the conception and design of solutions
Confirming concepts with delivery teams, validating compliance with service offerings, while ensuring necessary approvals and documentation
Manage by:
Advising solution managers to ensure that the development or optimization of the solution is aligned with BDC Advisory Services
Deploy in:
Ensuring back-office systems are ready and functional
Preparing, with the solution managers, the various training courses (partner-customer, delivery, etc.)
Working with peers within the consulting services team (delivery, operations, business development), as well as with BDC's other support services (marketing, IT, communications, etc.)
Follow by:
Coordinating and integrating activities with support functions
Directing post-mortem activities
Collaborating and leading portfolio and solution performance reviews
Contributing to practice development roadmaps in collaboration with key delivery stakeholders to promote BDC's advisory services
Create, update and populate appropriate structures on collaborative tracking tools to support the content development process and portfolio management
Implement common tools, templates, etc., that will be used across advisory services
The Senior Advisor, as the solution development lead, will regularly review the Advisory Services solution management process.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience in solving SMB/enterprise problems, ideally in product and content development and/or strategic thinking
Very good project management skills (time management and prioritization) to meet critical deadlines
Business acumen combined with experience in dealing with internal and external clients
Experience in a consulting firm (an asset)
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work
Great attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to create tools, prepare documentation, presentations, work plans, etc.
Bilingual in French and English
