We are seeking a Tokyo, Japan based associate officer to join Tokyo Investment Operations.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The officer’s key job responsibilities time will be devoted to production support, where they will be involved in the following activities:
Daily NAV calculation and verification for ITM Funds
Distributors management
Handle various events related with Funds’ Fiscal Year End, New Fund Launching, Funds’ termination
Fund Auditing
Shareholders report and financial statement
Regulatory filing to Financial Supervisory Agency, Bank of Japan and Investment Trust Association.
Analysis and Implementation of new workflow
Oversight of outsourcing agent
Skills / Experience required
Basic accounting and operational experience in financial industry (nice to have)

Having a desire to find a carrier path in back or middle office (Operations and accounting)
A strong client focus to ensure the expectations of stakeholders and our clients are met
Basic technical skills ((MS EXCEL, WORD, ACCESS…etc)

Written and verbal communication skills with fluency in Japanese and basic English language ability.

AO will learn about AB’s equity, fixed income portfolio analytics and characteristics client reports along with advanced performance attribution. The AO will have hands-on experience on a variety of fixed income, equity and derivative securities and products.
AO will be able to improve their time management skills and gain more exposure working within a team. The AO will gain exposure to the fixed income business as the clients investing in our fixed income products require the most complicated reporting support. They will work on their time management skills as they will need to work on and manage multiple tasks/projects/deliverables at one time.
AO will be able to improve their communication skills as they will have frequent contact with other groups within the firm to provide information and resolve issues. They will be able to work on communicating effectively to complete tasks.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have the following:
Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
3 years undergraduate degree preferably in business related discipline
3 years of work experience in a function that has some related financial analysis or use of analytical skills.
Skills: Knowledge of multiple asset classes and how they can be used in portfolios and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Special Knowledge (if applicable):
The candidate should be able to communicate effectively, work well in a team setting, and be able to effectively handle changes with a positive outlook.
