The Energy Heat & Management (E&HM) market segment offers solutions aligned to:

  • High Temperature Thermal Fluids (HTTF)
  • Low Temperature Thermal Fluids (LTTF)

The typical applications include Pharma, Food/ Beverage, and Oil & Gas focusing on heat integration as well as supporting renewable energy in Concentrated Solar Power and Geothermal. Our extensive and proven product lines include SYLTHERM™, and DOWTHERM™ among others.

Job Description:

The position for Energy & Heat Management Engineer within the Energy segment of the Industrial Solutions business has the following responsibilities:

  • Interact with a customer base within Middle East and Caspian Region to provide technical service support
  • Seek to expand business with key selected customers
  • Collaborate within a cross functional and international team to provide quick response to customer inquiries.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in Dow heat transfer offerings (SYLTHERM™, DOWCALTM and DOWTHERM™) and customer applications (Concentrated Solar Power, Pharma, Liquified Natural Gas, Geothermal, etc.).
  • Interface with the DIS business development organization responsible for developing E&HM sales contracts based on the technical team’s guidance on service levels.
  • Advance the Innovation pipeline and execute its implementation.
  • Support and cross-collaborate within the Energy team to support the Energy Transition.
  • Provide expert consultation to customers and represent E&HM externally in the industrial community.
  • Document learning (case studies, design methodologies) in internal and external publications.
  • Undertake Dow safety training and comply with all safety requirements.
  • 3 -5 Years of experience in Energy & heat management engineer within the Energy segment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
  • Alternative bachelors or higher technical degrees will be considered if sufficient fundamentals and experience in thermodynamics and process modeling are present.

    Skills:

    • Teamwork - Ability to interface effectively with customers and with Dow Marketing, Sales, and R&D teams.
    • Service oriented with focus on customer engagement and relationship building.
    • Conceptualization to reduce complexity and conduct investigations through technical consulting.
    • Service and product innovation.
    • Self-motivated, high initiative.
    • Excellent written communication, including technical writing.
    • Good time-management - Ability to manage multiple tasks and have a sense of prioritization based on value and efficiency.
    • English is required, Arabic is strongly preferred.
