What You’ll Get to Do:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Program Finance Manager to join our team. In this critical role, you will work closely with the Program Manager and lead a team of Financial Analysts to manage the financial aspects of a rapidly growing $250M program. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional financial acumen and leadership skills.

This role is located in Annapolis Junction, MD and requires an active TS/SCI POLY clearance. This requires you to be in the office 4 days a week.

More About the Role:

  • Collaborate closely with program manager to provide financial insights and support in decision-making.
  • Analyze program financial performance, identify trends, and recommend cost optimization strategies.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support program budget, forecast, and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop monthly forecast and maintain a risks and opportunities register.
  • Oversee the annual operating planning process, assisting in the development of budget and long-term financial plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Provide critical funding run-out dates to the customer to ensure seamless support and maintain a strong customer relationship.
  • Oversee the contract modification review to ensure adequate hours and funding are applied to the contract and provide final approval.
  • Oversee the invoicing processes and ensure timely submission of all financial deliverables to the customer, meeting contractual agreements.
  • Manage administrative duties related to our partners, fostering strong relationships and effective collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Contracts and Subcontracts to ensure program compliance during execution for the life of the program.
  • Implement cost control measures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving efficiencies with the program’s financial operations.
  • Track and troubleshoot DSO metrics, implementing strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
  • Manage the allocation and tracking of indirect costs, ensuring accurate and budget adherence.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a program or project finance role.
  • Must have a current TS/SCI POLY Clearance
  • Ability to understand contracts of various types (T&M, FFP, CPF, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Must be well experienced with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PIVOT Tables, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Adhere to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley and all corporate and contractual policies and procedures as they relate to contract financials.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, IBM COGNOS, and Oracle CAPS, Smartview, MS Query.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$99,800 - $219,600
