We are currently looking for a Sr. Analyst, Aftersales Business Intelligence to join our team in Franklin, TN.
A Day in the Life:
Collaborates with Data Scientists, IS/IT, and other data analysts to support Aftersales BI data & analytics needs and inform decision makers. Applies data engineering skills to projects requiring data collection and cleansing. Enables timely analysis and diagnostics, supports assimilation, analysis, and distribution of data & fine-tunes data products and visualizations in analytics platforms/processes to achieve business goals. Routinely coordinates with various departments/business functions to prevent duplication of effort and streamline data and analysis to support current and future analytical needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Create and design technical solutions to meet business needs by translating end user’s requirements and finding innovative, creative visualizations and tools for data using the Aftersales DataMart (ADAM). Must be capable of strategizing and brainstorming with the team to create viable solutions. Strategize, develop, maintain and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions primarily using SQL, Python, Informatica Prep, Snowflake, and SAP Business Objects. The Sr. Analyst will also manage extracts, validate outputs, and analyze desired data using extraction tools. Recommend, understand and utilize tools to store data effectively within the data mart or data lake solutions, online analytical processing, as well as maintaining data analytics platforms so that data can effectively be mined for information by the end user. Direct end user tests and develop database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Strategize the ongoing iterative development process of the team’s projects. Oversee gathering requirements to improving existing systems from teams within the business to streamline workflow and processes. Document processes and terms in an electronic data glossary. Perform and document data analysis, data validation, data mapping/design, by accessing multiple sources, specifically data residing in source systems. Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and transition between projects while working both independently and effectively in teams. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
Who We're Looking for:
Job Knowledge and Skill:
Advanced analytical skills. Strategic data warehouse knowledge & capabilities Advanced ETL capabilities using SQL and Python to create data pipelines to support business use-case and data ingestion execution. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience:
Experienced in development of Performance Scorecard/KPI related dashboards related to data-driven business analysis in a business, vs. an IT role. Some experience in designing effective visualizations of analytics. Proficiency in SQL and Python required. Relational database modeling fundamentals required. Experienced with ETL Self-Service Applications desired. Web Development is a plus. 5+ years of database experience and 10+ years of directly related professional-level experience required. Business, Aftersales, Purchasing, or Marketing experience is highly preferred. Technical automotive parts experience beneficial.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Analytics, Business Technology. Master’s degree preferred.
Other Required Computer Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of data-related end-user desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Proficient with mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day to day situations. Technical and/or programming experience preferred.
