We are part of Development Services delivering new infrastructure across our regions. This includes installation or new water mains for housing developments, water mains diversions & reinforcements, service connections, and metering. In this team we will be supporting the growth of Self-lay and NAV within our region.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Self-Lay & NAV team. You will drive collaborative management and be the fundamental support for our Self- Lay Providers (SLP) and New Appointments and Variations (NAV) customers. Delivering a smooth transition for these customers between key design and delivery milestones through a personal and tailored customer journey package making it an experience like no other.
You will be key to monitoring assurance throughout the whole project lifespan from design through to final service connections, which will include CDM Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2015 compliance, auditing of Water Quality practices (POSWSH), Regulation 31 assurance, Water Regulation Inspections and managing construction/ commissioning activities as part of the wider risk management plan. You will be responsible for ensuring that all new infrastructure is installed and commissioned complying with Anglian Water’s (AW) DCS (Design & Construction Specification), policies and minimum asset standards and adoption process, to enable efficient vesting to be undertaken within our DMeX level of service performance metrics.
Stakeholder management skills will be vital in this role to provide high quality and effective internal and external engagement. An advocate for driving the culture of this team to ensure the benefits of these delivery routes are realised. Working with key external and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for creation, monitoring and managing project expenditure.
Working collaboratively across Developer Services teams, Operational teams, our Contract Partners Self-Lay and NAV customers you will maintain smooth and efficient workflow processes preventing silo working. Effective communication skills are essential to liaise with people across many disciplines and levels within the business and external stakeholders.
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a relevant subject such as Engineering) and demonstrate significant Project Management and commercial awareness. Experience of identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities. Alongside this ideally you will have experience in:
Sound understanding of Construction Design Management
Ability to build excellent customer relationships and possess strong negotiating and influencing skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and change and to think strategically and analytically
Utility knowledge desirable
Knowledge of water fittings and materials or similar
Understanding of SAP system
Confidence in learning new systems and skills alongside constructively conveying innovative ideas
Attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and strong IT skills are key ideally looking for experience in all Microsoft Office packages
A water distribution engineering background would be an advantage.
