Reports to the Financial Reporting Manager

The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.

What you'll be doing

  • Bookkeep a complex range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures  
  • Complete all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc investor queries
  • Deal with the completion of routine audit queries and liaise with clients and intermediaries
  • Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions are completed within a robust control environment
  • Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of accounting
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and other payments
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff under the supervision of management 

What we're looking for

  • The candidate will be expected to be at least part-qualified (preferably ACCA or ACA)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS 
  • Experience of the preparation of statutory financial statements is essential 
  • Experience of reviewing statutory accounts 
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, new systems and software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential 
  • Previous experience of training, coaching/mentoring of junior staff 
  • Previous industry experience in Fund Administration is highly desirable
