JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Program Manager oversees and manages the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Green Dot core processing and payments initiatives.  The Program Manager is proactive, energetic, detail-oriented and possesses the professional acumen required to interact with partners and internal stakeholders on a frequent basis. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Program Manager for core platform and payments initiatives and projects including system/product upgrades, new partner initiatives, enhancements, and production support efforts.  Responsible for the delivery of the product backlogs.

  • Work closely with Green Dot Network’s senior business team and account managers on release planning and the prioritization of product backlogs based on the business’ strategic direction.

  • Lead effective meetings (i.e., requirements gathering, backlog grooming, etc…) with project stakeholders to ensure abstract requirements are synthesized into business epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.  Develop and integrate delivery plans across multiple areas into an overall delivery and implementation roadmap.

  • Effectively manage vendor and internal deliverables, dependencies, and implementation efforts. 

  • Lead daily/weekly meetings with globally distributed delivery teams to ensure that prioritized user story requirements and acceptance criteria are adequately documented and understood, so the delivery teams can develop and commit to their respective delivery plans.

  • Lead resolution of any roadblocks that impede progress of projects and initiatives. 

  • Participate in sprint demos and approve or reject delivery team committed user stories based on established acceptance and definition of done criteria.

  • Provide formal sprint and release updates to Green Dot Network stakeholders.

  • Produce regular status reporting inclusive of progress, issues, risks, and other pertinent delivery information.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to guide a team towards successful completion of high quality projects on time, on budget and within scope

  • Aptitude and ability to manage established processes and follow up on outstanding tasks

  • Can simultaneously manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is a must

  • Experience in software in a product owner role is a plus

  • Experience working in an Agile software development methodology is preferred

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $120,700 to $184,400 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
