Job Description

The Project

The Eastern Busway is a significant project that is about more than just better transport. It will increase access to jobs and education, connect people to social and community opportunities, attract investment and growth, enable urban development, and help reduce emissions.

Its efficient services will give nearby communities some great options for cycling, walking or using the bus, and it will be a vital part of the public transport network in Tāmaki Makaurau for decades to come.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join the HR team on the Eastern Busway Alliance, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic HR Administrator who wants to learn and develop their career within the exciting and innovative world of construction.  The role will ideally suit an experienced administrator studying Human Resource Management or has recently completed. 

To be successful it is essential that you have previous administration experience within a complex, fast paced organisation.  

Key Accountabilities for the position will be:

  • Ensure employee data is accurate and up to date across a range of systems including Workday and other internal systems
  • Preparation of monthly reporting, visual dashboards, and data analysis
  • Participate in all activities relating to the employee lifecycle, including contract and letter generation, employee onboarding, internal employee transfers, professional development, and offboarding - ensuring consistency across all projects
  • Provides administrative support to the recruitment function including reference checks, medical bookings, police clearances, interview scheduling etc.
  • Coordinating the HR inbox, ensuring that requests and queries are actioned

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Completed or Undertaking Tertiary Qualification in Human Resource Management or similar

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative based role ideally within Human Resource, Learning and Development or Recruitment (Highly desirable BUT not essential)

  • Intermediate MS Office suite

  • Exposure to Workday an advantage BUT not essential
