Job Responsibilities
Responsible for developing industry-leading web applications using the Comcast UI library in an Agile environment.
Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product/technical requirements.
Uses hands-on UI development experience to analyze complex stakeholder requirements, digest them into Agile user stories, and properly estimate their complexity.
Designs new web applications, supports applications under development, and customizes current applications. Assists in the roll-out of product releases.
Oversees the research, authoring, and editing of documentation, including development plans, test results, technical manuals, formal recommendations, and bi-weekly KPI reports.
Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive products. Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the field of UI web application design & development. Displays world-class expertise in UI engineering methodologies, concepts, and skills.
Provides technical leadership throughout the development process with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques. Serves as a mentor for junior UI Engineers.
Ensures key performance metrics are tracked and evaluated. Assures that applications are delivered on time and within specifications.
Provides assistance to the Quality Assurance testers in verifying that delivered code meets the stakeholder's acceptance criteria.
Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, development, and technical choices to internal audiences.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Key Requirements and Skills
At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in ReactJs, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript. Experience with Tailwind CSS, NVDA screen reader, cross-browser testing, and Figma a plus.
Acts as a key contributor within a blended international software engineering team.
Mentors junior engineers and non-technical teammates.
Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product/technical requirements.
Assists with tracking key performance metrics. Delivers fully functional products that follow all modern web-design standards for Accessibility (WCAG 2.2), user experience, and code quality.
Analyzes, tests, and assists with the integration of new applications into existing products.
Designs new web applications, supports applications under development, and customizes current applications. Assists in the roll-out of product releases.
