Job Title: Manager, Strategy and Analytics

We are looking for a Manager, Strategy and Analytics who understands how to leverage data to drive strategic initiatives and optimize business outcomes. If you're passionate about using data to revolutionize small business banking and improve customer acquisition, lifetime value, and engagement, then we want to chat. 

About the Role:

As a Manager, Strategy and Analytics at Novo, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven strategies across our credit product suite. You will lead a talented team of analysts and data scientists with dotted line responsibility for credit product marketing and operations to resiliently grow our credit card, funding product and help identify future lending product opportunities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Owning credit product unit economics, underwriting policies and models.
  • Analyzing data to generate actionable insights that inform product roadmap, marketing spend, and lending capital investments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Finance, and Risk, to implement and evaluate data-driven initiatives.
  • Identifying new opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements through rigorous data analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Taking ideas from concept (0) to market (1) to get real-world feedback and refine strategies based on actual performance.
  • Working with finance to manage relationships with capital markets and bank partners.

Requirements for the Role:

  • 7+ years of experience in credit or product analytics roles at leading financial institution or fintech, 2+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Deep experience with credit card or loan unit economics and P/L drivers, multiple types of lending products a plus
  • Proven track record of professional success from analyst to manager
  • Hands-on experience with credit model development, deployment and usage
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to coach analysts and data scientists to do the best work of their careers
  • Highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Preferably: Experience managed a credit portfolio or a portion of a credit portfolio through changing credit cycles
