GEICO is looking for a growth mindset driven Manager, Performance Marketing.   As an outcome-focused marketing specialist, this person will deliver performance marketing solutions, with a lens on maximizing customer lifetime value This individual will be responsible for leading the development and execution of digital acquisition strategies across various channels, such as paid search, vertical search, display, social, and affiliate marketing.  They will oversee agency/partner relationships for execution of prospecting and conversion tactics.

Collaboration and confidence will be critical to the success of this role– so it’s important that this individual comfortable with a high level of interoperability across various internal and external teams.

Our department’s hybrid model is 3 days in the office per week, with flexibility. Corporate offices are in Chevy Chase, MD; Manhattan, NY; Chicago, Illinois; Cleveland, OH

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute customer action-based digital marketing plans aligned with business objectives, customer behavior and competitive intelligence
  • Build monthly, quarterly and annual bottom-up budget scenarios based on targets and marginal return adjustments
  • Collaborate with wider GEICO Marketing team on integrated go-to market plans
  • Define acquisition channel mix based on granular forecasting for optimal business outcomes
  • Utilize historical performance data, industry benchmarks, and previous experience to inform recommendations
  • Collaborate with Data Sciences to develop and optimize 1PD and 3PD targeting and bidding strategies
  • Steward optimizations across channels, platforms, tactics, creative and audiences, to maximize CLV, create CAC efficiencies and improve the overall performance of GEICO’s marketing investments.
  • Guide appropriate allocation of funds across proven tactics, as well as emerging opportunities existing activities
  • Ensure media delivers on performance metrics such as quote starts, quote completes, conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Partner with Analytics and IT to ensure that the right tagging and tracking infrastructure is in place to capture customer signals aligned with high-intent and high value leads.
  • Partner with Analytics, Product, and IT teams to optimize digital conversion rates through A/B testing, landing page optimization, and user experience enhancements.
  • Act as first mover with a stringent test and learn approach on new platforms
  • Write clear and concise execution briefs grounded in platform best practices to drive timely, on-brand, and effective assets and copy
  • Work with Marketing Operations and PMO to improve current go to market processes and identify new capabilities to give GEICO a competitive edge.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing function specialists to ensure alignment in overall planning and successful execution
  • Apply customer lifetime value and incrementality learnings to better allocate marketing spend and improve forecasting abilities
  • Drive stakeholder alignment by producing clear and concise business cases and reports for presentation to senior leadership.

Experience & Core Competencies

  • Proven hands-on-keyboard acquisition media experience at a high-volume company/account
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficiency with digital advertising platforms and analytics tools – SA360, AdWords, social business managers, Google Analytics, Google Campaign Manager, Various DSPs (Google, Amazon, The TradeDesk)
  • Experience managing and optimizing both quick-turn and long-tail marketing initiatives to maximize positive business outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of how various marketing channels work together, in support of the full customer journey
  • Comfortable producing a high volume of work in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to identify and kickstart process improvements and work flows
  • Self-starter with the confidence and ability to tackle new initiatives with little guidance
  • Ability to balance short-term performance and efficiency needs with long-term sustainable growth needs.
