Job Summary

The Vendor Compliance Specialist will work with the Sourcing Managers and the Legal Department to review and revise contract terms and conditions, and may assist in the negotiations, developing practical and innovative ways to meet POOL's needs and keep the company thriving, with the ability to affect POOL’s long-term goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and establishes a Contract compliance program.
  • Participates in maintenance and updates of all compliance policies and procedures and manages Legal forms and templates.
  • Develops and maintains archiving process.
  • Develops a control mechanism with expiration dates as applicable.
  • Identifies non-compliant vendors, obtaining the required compliance documents from the vendors.
  • Ensures Imports Compliance.
  • Maintains records for Conflict Minerals.
  • Develops and Maintains Vendor Compliance Code of Conduct.
  • Develops and Maintains Digital Asset Agreement.
  • Maintains Certificates of Insurance (working with Risk Management).
  • Manages Commercial Contracts.
  • Manages Rebate Program (working with Finance).
  • Maintains Vendor Pricing Files (working with Data).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or two to four years of related practical experience working in government compliance (i.e. FDA, EPA, etc.); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform business math (basic algebra, computer rate, ratio, etc.).
  • Practical knowledge of contract development, contract standards and language.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions.
  • Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Practical Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Travel is occasionally out-of-the-area and overnight travel will be expected several nights per month.
