Your Role and Impact

As a Global HS&E Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating and executing strategies that promote health, safety, and environmental excellence across our worldwide operations. This is a high-impact role where you’ll directly contribute to maintaining Cerence’s reputation as a leader in responsible and sustainable business practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and programs that align with global standards and business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with international HS&E regulations while adapting to local requirements in our 17 global offices.

  • Lead the creation of training programs to enhance employee awareness and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

  • Identify potential HS&E risks, implement mitigation plans, and continuously evaluate their effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance environmental sustainability goals, including carbon reduction, waste management, and energy efficiency.

  • Oversee investigations of workplace incidents, ensuring proper root-cause analysis and preventative measures are in place.

  • Partner with leadership, employees, and external agencies to champion HS&E best practices and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years in HS&E leadership roles, preferably within multinational organizations.

  • Proven track record of implementing HS&E programs across diverse geographies.

  • Strong knowledge of global HS&E standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and emergency preparedness strategies.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Flexibility and resilience in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
