Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring an Associate Project Management / Project Management professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. This is an individual contributor role and is not a management/ leadership opportunity.

Assists in managing the programmatic aspects of a Subcontract Management Team (SMT) and ensures integration with Program management (the Solution Train), other SMTs, and the Agile Release Trains that make up our program. Participates in program rhythm, planning, and reporting. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving within the team.

This Project Manager individual contributor will also be supporting the Program Integration Team (PIT) in a classified environment. The candidate will be part of a diverse organization of integrators reporting to the lead integrator on this program. This individual should possess team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. The candidate for this position will be expected to gain knowledge of company, sector, and program processes and operating procedures and be able to implement these standards across the program. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, adaptable team player. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the SMT and Program day-to-day rhythm
  • Facilitation of meetings, resulting actions, and any associated deliverables, including supplier, customer, and leadership meetings.
  • Assist in program planning events, customer reviews, supplier visits, and engagement events
  • Participate in contractual and technical meetings, taking detailed notes/actions to facilitate continual progress
  • Work with internal customers to understand the business goals, objectives, rules and any additional requirements
  • Capturing, tracking, and providing visibility into/ reporting on action items
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, professional atmosphere amongst the team
  • Use of Microsoft Office products and Atlassian tools

This role may be filled at an Associate Project Management or Project Management level based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications for Associate Project Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0 Years of experience in project management
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs.
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MSProject)
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations

Basic Qualifications for Project Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 Years of experience in project management; OR Master's Degree with 0 Years of experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs.
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MSProject)
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile
  • Familiarity with supplier management
  • Skillful with graphic design or Photoshop
  • Enthusiasm for engagement and creative endeavors

Salary Range: $52,800.00 - $79,200.00Salary Range 2: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
