The Role: Assistant Manager

The Impact: This is an opportunity to lead a team consisting of 10-15 individuals and contribute towards achieving the team’s goals. Accountability would also be towards driving the business objectives and be a role model for people and peer group, communicate with passion and enthusiasm, embrace change as a way of working. Additionally, the Assistant Manager needs to ensure accurate, complete, and timely delivery of the data to both internal and external clients, managing stakeholder relationship & building technical acumen by virtue of involvement in various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate and drive the successful & timely completion of projects to achieve the business goals.
  • Review daily exception reports; research and resolve exceptions.
  • Identify and Develop process improvements to enhance overall quality.
  • Monitoring and controlling the project, including reporting progress against plan.
  • Contribute input to develop/modify procedures and controls.
  • Publishing team metrics to the stakeholders on timely fashion
  • Build, lead & manage a high performing team.
  • Should be able to Manage project lifecycle from inception through delivery.
  • Responsible for project backlog roadmap and prioritizing project based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Closely works with automation team to automate the possible workflows to save manual efforts.
  • Should act as a Subject Matter Expert for the team.
  • Should have good knowledge on Agile philosophies. Also, able to perform project management using Kanban/Scrum board process.
  • Managing a team of 10+ associates. Conducting regular team meetings, 1:1’s, quarterly check-ins, providing regular feedback to the team.
  • Setting-up KPIs and driving them into the team.
  • Good problem resolution skills through effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Capacity to give and accept feedback constructively and provide coaching to the team.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts including night shift on rotational or need basis.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction, maintain focus while working with routine tasks.
  • The position would require working in rotational/night shifts on need basis.

What We're Looking For:
Education:

  • MBA specialized in finance or commerce.

Personal Competencies:

  • The individual should possess excellent communications skills as this role demands to work multiple team projects.
  • Good knowledge of Data/Content Management operations and knowledge of Private Equity/Investment Management universe would be an advantage.
  • High level of initiative with strong propensity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in team’s management.
  • Strong research and data mining skills required.
  • Experienced in Microsoft tools, SQL, Python, power BI.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead conference calls with both internal and external participants.   
  • Need to be flexible to work in shifts.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, specifically over the telephone.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Work closely with global team members to deliver high quality data.
