Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong technical skills to join our team in Qantas Loyalty, in the Qantas App. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by leveraging their expertise in both business analysis and technical domains.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing business needs, identifying solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of technical projects. This role requires a blend of strong analytical capabilities, deep technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Conduct thorough business needs analysis to understand stakeholder requirements
  • Develop detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise requirements and define project scope
  • Analyse and understand technical systems and architectures
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs
  • Utilise advanced data analysis techniques to derive insights from our data
  • Develop and maintain reports, and dashboards.
  • Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders
  • Serve as a point of contact between business units and technical teams
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide project updates
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively

You’ll have –

  • 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
  • Tertiary Qualification - Degree qualified in finance / commerce, IT, engineering, data science or applied maths
  • Agile qualifications or 5 years experience working in Agile ways of working
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen
  • Knowledge of and passion for data, analytics, and innovation
  • Organised and strong facilitation skills
  • Strategic thinker with advanced problem solving skills to navigate complexity
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to take ownership of work streams and deliver autonomously
