The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for the Senior Recruiter to support Abbott’s Core Diagnostics division.

This incumbent will provide full life cycle recruiting, including candidate sourcing, consultation with hiring leaders, candidate interviews, and offers.

They will work closely with leaders, Talent Acquisition teams and HR Business Partners to understand the recruiting needs of the business, anticipate hiring requirements, and proactively identify and implement sourcing and recruiting strategies to meet those needs in a cost-effective, timely manner.

Location: This role will be based in the Irving, TX office

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Execution: Understand business needs and develop recruiting tactics that yield strong outcomes. Identify challenges and proactively develop solutions as projects progress. Manage competing priorities and update strategies or plans based on patterns and trends. -
  • Influence stakeholders and candidates: Have solid credibility with hiring managers, candidates, and the team. Actively listen and positively influence candidates on a career at Abbott. Understand and articulate hiring managers' needs. Constructively assert opinions and ideas with clients and peers. Leverage market insights and data to support recommendations. -
  • Endurance and resilience: Problem-solve through setbacks and push through obstacles to reach hiring goals with manager support. -
  • Leadership: Lead recruitment cycles efficiently for multiple positions, deliver on tight deadlines, and manage demanding client groups. Self-motivated and a role model for peers. -
  • Change management: Act as a process and application change initiative champion. -
  • Data management, analysis, and insights: Have a good command of reporting and presenting data to tell the story using Abbott systems and MS suite.

Develop impactful PowerPoint presentations to support meetings with internal clients. -

  • Project management: Lead in-country and divisional TA projects. Support regional or global projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Functional experience: Full cycle recruitment experience in healthcare or related industry segments, with at least one of the core functions being commercial, manufacturing, scientific, or corporate function. Experience supporting business hiring needs up to the senior manager level.

Minimum professional experience: 4+ years in agency or in-house TA experience (region-specific). -

PREFERRED:

Working knowledge of employment systems, preferably Workday.

Capable of working with C-level Executives

Strong Ability to be a "closer" in a highly competitive market.

Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model is preferred.

Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Prior recruiting experience in the Medical / Diagnostics/ Healthcare industry is strongly preferred

Prior recruiting experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.

AIRS CIR/ACIR ​ certification is a plus.

The base pay for this position is

$72,700.00 – $145,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
