Northrop Grumman's Talent Organization is seeking an Organization Effectiveness Specialist to help drive the development of critical organizational capabilities. This position will support the team’s development and implementation of organizational approaches and practices to enable top tier business performance.

If you have proven experience with instructional design and virtual community-building, we want to talk to you!  The successful candidate will know how to facilitate engaging and effective learning opportunities for our diverse communities of organization effectiveness practitioners and have a basic understanding of change management and organization design concepts and principles.

This position will be located in Falls Church, VA and will report to the Manager, Organization Effectiveness. Hybrid and/or remote work will be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR development programs that foster a highly effective and engaged workforce, cultural development and organization change initiatives that address Talent goals and strategies.

  • Create learning experiences for our HR capability-building initiatives with a focus on sharing skills, fostering high engagement and creating a sense of community and belonging.

    • Identify learning and engagement goals for each initiative.

    • Create a project plan and schedule of learning engagements.

    • Identify and schedule speakers, agenda topics and/or other session content.

    • Partner with stakeholders and team members to coordinate efforts to achieve objectives

    • Host live, virtual sessions.

    • Identify and track success metrics to report on progress and iterate on plans in alignment with predetermined goals.

    • Track community memberships and keep materials and resources up to date.

  • Coordinate and deploy change management training and resources to targeted populations.

  • Support enterprise-level change management efforts and culture change initiatives that have people, process and technology implications.

  • Apply change management processes / tools to develop and implement effective change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, improve organization performance, and increase operational efficiencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 Years of relevant experience in Organization Effectiveness and/or Organization Development or related disciplines; 3 Years with a Masters; 1 Year with a PhD.

  • Experience in instructional design, education and training, organization effectiveness or organization development.

  • Proven experience facilitating large scale transformation and culture change efforts.

  • Application of adult learning principles and demonstrated experience designing and facilitating large scale workshops

  • Organization design experience, including implementation of new structures and operating models. 

  • Ability to collaborate, lead, and build rapport across all levels of the organization to include C-level executives.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Experience as an internal or external consultant.

  • Prior experience supporting enterprise-wide transformation efforts at a large organization

  • Change Management certification or designation highly desired.

  • Exceptional listener, verbal and written communicator.

  • Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Exceptional relationship building skills and ability to influence decision making without direct authority at all levels of the organization.

  • Collaborative team player, highly capable of working with and through others.

  • Forward looking problem solver, capable of identifying root causes, appropriate mitigation plans and grounded in the academic/theory but with practical implementation approaches.

  • Flexible, adaptable, agile and resilient; ability to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Organized with demonstrated strength in strategy planning and tactics.

  • Previous experience in the Aerospace & Defense or Engineering & Science industries (complex matrixed organization) or large consulting firm with deep implementation experience

Salary Range: $80,600.00 - $121,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
