The annual base salary for this position ranges from $97,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $217,700.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Brand Lead for Jordan Sport in North America to join our NYC-based team. You’ll help create the future of sport which includes Basketball, Football, Baseball & Golf consumers across all genders within our key cities and emerging markets.  Additionally, the candidate should have a nuanced expertise of basketball and its culture, and the intersection of sport, streetwear, and energy is a requirement.  

In this role, you will be responsible for managing brand plans and driving functional excellence within the NA Jordan Brand team. Reporting directly to the NA Sport Brand Director, this role will deliver brand plans that grow the business while creating deeper, lasting relationships with male and female athletes.

You are someone capable of being a voice and advocate for the consumer. You live and breathe basketball culture and understand trends in the marketplace and in emerging grassroots sport communities.  You are particularly passionate about obsessing and understanding the nuance of the women’s game, and you are comfortable flexing across multiple sport spaces and serving our athletes with distinction.

You will be a coach & collaborator with your peers as well as in-direct teammates across North America & Global. You have a strong digital skillset and understand all functions of marketing. You are comfortable with navigating ambiguity, driving large x-functional teams to consensus, and curious at every turn. 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will assist the North America Brand Director of Sport (Basketball, Baseball, Football, Golf) in upstream seasonal planning and downstream execution to cultivate and drive sport propositions, fuel consumer demand and strengthen our connection with consumers. You are responsible for working across multiple functions, within integrated marketing functions and with external agencies to develop and implement plans for seasonal marketing priorities. You’ll be the lead informer and communicator on cross-functional details, collaboration, consensus, and progress on key assigned initiatives:

  • Primary point of connection for marketplace partners and city teams as they are briefed and then through execution of plans.
  • Proactively lead x-functional work sessions in preparation for key landmarks/checkpoints, in partnership with Ops team. Manage budget and resourcing with team leads and x-functional partners.
  • Support an end-to-end process to gain insight from consumers including cultural trends.
  • Oversee product integration and seasonal programming.
  • Support development of annual and seasonal programming plans.
  • Partner with Nike on integrated seasonal executions.
  • Manage campaign progress measurement. Recapping + teardowns.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with signature athlete representatives & external league and team contacts.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role you will report directly into the NA Jordan Brand Marketing Director for Sport. You will work across the NA and Global Jordan Marketing function including Streetwear & Energy Marketing, Digital Marketing, City Marketing, and Marketplace Partners. This is a team sport and will require consistent collaboration, partnership and consensus across the Jordan Brand and Nike Basketball matrix when appropriate.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of consumer marketing or related experiences in marketing strategy, marketing planning, marketing implementation, retail merchandising, consumer servicing, and event execution
  • Outstanding leadership skills to influence functional teams and large cross-functional projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is essential
  • Deep understanding of product, competitive landscape, culture and trends
  • Digital marketing experience and ability to trial and utilize emerging digital tools
  • Project management experience

  • Willingness to relocate to the New York City metro region and work out of Nike NYHQ
